9/17/24 Senzatela starts for Rockies after long TJ recovery. Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela went three-plus innings against Arizona on Monday night, flashing solid form at times but also showing some rust in his first start in 16 months following his recovery from Tommy John surgery.

9/15/24 Rockies' Antonio Senzatela excited for return to big-league mound. Antonio Senzatela feels like a rookie, with butterflies in the tummy included. “It's been a long time coming back, and I'm really excited,” the Rockies' 29-year-old right-hander said Sunday morning from the dugout at Coors Field. On Monday night vs. Arizona, Senzatela will make his first big-league start since May 10, 2023, when he left during his second start of that season after facing just 12 batters. The Rockies weren't certain that Senzatela would pitch with the big-league club this season because he didn't undergo Tommy John surgery until mid-July of last year.

9/13/24 Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela to return Monday from Tommy John surgery. For the first time in 495 days, Antonio Senzatela will find his way to the mound for a major league game. Senzatela, returning from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, will start Monday for the Rockies, manager Bud Black confirmed Friday afternoon at Coors Field. Senzatela and the Rockies opted against surgery for the ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his elbow at first, but he eventually had the procedure in mid-July 2023 after a platelet-rich plasma injection did not have the desired effect. The 29-year-old righty had been an on-again, off-again member of Colorado's rotation for the previous six seasons before the injury.

10/02/23 Monday Rockpile: Three major takeaways from the 2023 season. It took 31 seasons, but the Colorado Rockies officially concluded their first triple-digit loss season on Sunday, winning 3-2 in a bizarre fashion against the Minnesota Twins to finish the year with a 59-103 record. There will be plenty of time to dissect the year during the off-season, but for now let's take a moment to go over three key takeaways from the 2023 season. If the Rockies received full seasons out of Germán Márquez and Antonio Senzatela would they have been spared from the hundred-loss moniker? There's little doubt that the performance of the team as a whole was lackluster in 2023, but season-ending injuries to Márquez and Senzatela compounded the problems facing the organization.

7/17/23 Monday Rockpile: The Pitching Woes Continue (plus Pebble Report). The Colorado Rockies got to have one nice thing this season when Elias Díaz became not only the first catcher from the organization to make the All-Star, but the first Colorado player to take home MVP honors in the mid-summer classic. Then someone apparently drank Jobu's rum…again. Bad news for RHP Antonio Senzatela. After a setback in SF last weekend, he will require Tommy John surgery, according to Rockies manager Bud Black. — Patrick Lyons (@PatrickDLyons) July 14, 2023 Before the first game after the break got underway, a slew of news broke regarding the Rockies' pitching throughout the organization. Antonio Senzatela is now set to have Tommy John surgery despite sitting out the past two

5/16/23 Colorado Rockies game no. 43 thread: Brandon Williamson vs Chase Anderson. The Rockies have now won two in a row and hope tonight to make it three. This happens as the team is cobbling together a new starting rotation after injuries to Germán Márquez, Antonio Senzatela, Gavin Hollowell, and Ryan Feltner. Last week, the Rockies claimed Chase Anderson off waivers from the Rays. Over two-games, he threw five scoreless innings. He was then stretched out in the minor leagues. Tonight, Anderson will take the mound in his Rockies debut. Pitching for the Reds will be Brandon Williamson, who has been called up from Triple-A Louisville. Williamson has a 6.62 ERA in 34.0 innings. This will be his MLB debut. Welcome to The Show, Brandon Williamson?? @therealBwill pic.twitter.com/QSMrses0AI

5/06/23 Colorado Rockies game no. 33 thread: Austin Gomber vs Tyler Megill. Antonio Senzatela pitched five fantastic innings in his return to active duty and the bullpen was lights out. Now the Rockies look to stop themselves from hitting another losing streak with their second game in Flushing against the New York Mets. The left-handed Austin Gomber will toe the rubber for the Rockies.

3/23/23 2023 Preview: Colorado Rockies. Offseason headlines: The moves the Rockies did make this winter were fairly inconsequential, which means their rash of injuries this spring is especially troubling. RHPs Antonio Senzatela (knee) and Tyler Kinley (elbow) already were out with injuries from last season. Now OF Randal Grichuk (sports hernia) will miss time, as will LHP Lucas Gilbreath (elbow) and OF Sean Bouchard (biceps). Most troubling of all is that Gold Glove 2B Brendan Rodgers (shoulder) could miss the entire season.

3/20/23 Monday Rockpile: The Rockies' recent signings make sense with one big caveat. There's no denying the injury bug has been biting the Colorado Rockies this spring. The team was already in a hole with existing injuries to Antonio Senzatela and Tyler Kinley deep into their recovery stages. The calendar didn't even reach March before the next – and most significant – piece fell when Brendan Rodgers tore his labrum after dislocating his shoulder in a game. Lucas Gilbreath then fell, with a UCL injury from last year leading to Tommy John surgery.
