9/09/25 Falcons depth chart released for Week 2 at Minnesota Vikings. The Atlanta Falcons released their Week 2 depth chart for the 2025 regular season on Tuesday. As a reminder, the depth chart is meant as a helpful guide for the Falcons' first road game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night at U.S. Bank Stadium. "I always hate to see the depth chart," Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said in Week 1, "because it just doesn't really tell the whole story, because sometimes people start in different roles and different phases of the game and just because it's not the first play of the game, doesn't mean you're not necessarily a starter or have a starting role."

9/09/25 Emeka Egbuka gets NFL career off to a swashbuckling start with Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut win. Emeka Egbuka - the 19th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft - got his Tampa Bay Buccaneers career off to a dream start with two crucial touchdowns in a 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Not only was he instrumental in securing victory on debut, but the wide receiver of Nigerian descent was also the standout African player in week 1 of the 2025-26 NFL season. Further standout performances from players with ties to the continent came from Samson Ebukam (Indianapolis Colts), Foyesade Oluokun (Jacksonville Jaguars), and Nate Landman (LA Rams) among others.

9/08/25 Falcons' inability to run in opening loss to Bucs put too heavy a burden on young quarterback Penix. A missed field goal in the final seconds remained the hot topic Monday, at least partially overshadowing a poor running game that threatens the Atlanta Falcons' hopes for their first playoff season since 2017. Younghoe Koo badly missed a 44-yard field-goal attempt in the final seconds of Atlanta's 23-20 loss to Tampa Bay in Sunday's opener that would have sent the game to overtime. Koo, coming off a career-high nine missed field goals last season, was the popular topic for blame and his starting position could be on the line this week.

9/07/25 How rookie Emeka Egbuka played hero for Buccaneers in comeback win over Falcons. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened the 2025 NFL season with a 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons, and it wouldn't have been possible without their newest pass-catcher. Tampa Bay used the 19th pick in the 2025 draft to select wide receiver Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State, and the selection paid off immediately. Egbuka finished his NFL debut with four catches for 69 yards, including two touchdown catches. At just 22, Egbuka showed savvy well beyond his years, stepping up in the game's biggest moment.

9/06/25 NFL Network Predicts Falcons RB Bijan Robinson to Lead NFL in 2 Key Categories. The Atlanta Falcons raised a lot of eyebrows when they took running back Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Analysts didn't like taking a running back that high in the draft, let alone by a team with a 1,000-yard rusher returning and plenty of holes to be filled. Fast forward just two seasons, and the running back position looks cool again, and the Falcons have one of the best in the NFL. Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle was a popular choice instead of Robinson at the time, and he was in the news for the wrong reason again this week.
