The Vikings and Bears both held walkthroughs on Thursday ahead of their matchup on Monday night, so the first injury report of the week is an estimation on player participation levels. Guard Teven Jenkins, possibly their best all-around blocker, returned for a full practice after being limited on Wednesday and missing last week's game. Getting Jenkins back in the lineup would mean the return of the full Bears starting offensive line. With D'Andre Swift nursing a minor groin injury — he missed practice Wednesday — the Bears are going to have their hands full, although it sounds like he could be good by Sunday. As [Bears Head Coach] Matt Eberflus stated, the Vikings lead the league in forcing opponents into second-and-long situations and they're No. 4 in the league on first down, allowing 4.68 yards per play; the Bears offense is 4th-worst, averaging 4.57 yards. Much attention came the way of Bears left tackle Braxton Jones for the pancake block he threw on overmatched Packers safety Evans Williams to spring D'Andre Swift Sunday on his 38-yard go-ahead touchdown run. It went beyond that play for Jones, though. Jones had the best Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade by any Bears offensive lineman in any game this season against the Packers, an 88.2 mark. It bested the 86.7 Teven Jenkins had against the Washington Commanders. Jenkins was putting some of the credit back at the same place where many players thought the offensive surge originated.
