9/22/24 | White Sox rookie Bryan Ramos doesn't know much about '62 Mets, but he knows what he can control. It might be on your mind – it's been in all the papers as the White Sox challenge that team's dreaded mark for most losses in a season – but White Sox rookie Bryan Ramos isn't thinking about it. “I don't think about any records,” Ramos told the Sun-Times. “To be honest I'm pretty happy with the way I've been playing,” Ramos said, despite a .177/.233/.291 hitting line in 26 games. Ramos, .257/.342/.426 hitter with 64 homers in five seasons in the Sox' minor league system, and Miguel Vargas, the major leaguer acquired at the trade deadline in the three-team deal with the Cardinals and Dodgers, are splitting time down the stretch as the Sox assess their future on the hot corner. 9/13/24 | White Sox' Bryan Ramos providing positive glimpses. Designated hitter Bryan Ramos has been placed everywhere in the Sox' lineup since being called up in September, batting seventh, eighth and third. Ramos led off for the Sox on Friday after putting together productive at-bats since returning to the majors on Sept. 4. “I want him in the lineup because in the limited time he's been here, he's been swinging really good,” manager Grady Sizemore said. Sizemore wants a good look at Ramos, and with 14 games remaining in the Sox's season, it would behoove the club to see what Ramos can do after his strong start. 5/14/24 | White Sox' Bryan Ramos day-to-day with tight quad. Third baseman Bryan Ramos exited the White Sox' 6-3 loss in Game 1 of their doubleheader with the Washington Nationals Monday with left quad tightness and is day-to-day. Aside from a grimace when he slid safely into third base after advancing from first to third on Nicky Lopez' single to left, Ramos showed no sign of being hurt. “I like Ramos' aggressiveness on the basepaths,” manager Pedro Grifol said between games of the twin bill. Nicky did a good job there and he missed a hit and run. Source: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2024/05/14/... |

5/09/24 | Bryan Ramos tacks on to his good first impression with White Sox. Called up from Double-A Birmingham last weekend, Ramos, 22, is getting the opportunity to play every day, to show what he can do, to provide a glimpse of how close to being ready he is for the major leagues. “When a young player doesn't get fazed by a major league atmosphere, there's something there,” manager Pedro Grifol said Thursday. 10/29/23 | White Sox Minor League Update: Oct. 23-28, 2023. Given the 2023 season we were all subjected to, it was too much to ask that even a fall-ball team playing 25 or so games rostered only partly by White Sox blood could sustain more than one good week of baseball. Worse, most of the eight players the White Sox have sent to AZ faltered last week. After a slower (with less playing time) start, Bryan Ramos has continued to find his footing and now tops Colson Montgomery and Jacob Burke in all slash line numbers but slugging percentage. On the flip side, Josimar Cousin and Adisyn Coffey continue to be overmatched in AFL play — at least in the nine-game combined sample size offered with this cup of coffee. There isn't a Project Birmingham this year, so the promotion to the Barons was a lot more customary and deserved this year ... but then, Veras was not exactly doing well in High-A. 3/10/23 | 3 takeaways from Chicago White Sox camp, including starter Lucas Giolito adjusting well to the pitch clock. With Yoán Moncada away for the World Baseball Classic, Bryan Ramos has been one of the options at third base for the White Sox. Ramos continued his impressive spring, hitting a two-run homer in Friday's 4-3 victory against the Cubs in a Cactus League game at Sloan Park. Ramos, who turns 21 on Sunday, is 7-for-17 (.412) with the homer and five RBIs in 10 games this spring. Added to the 40-man roster in November, Ramos had a combined .266/.338/.455 slash line with 22 home runs and 86 RBIs in 120 games between Class A Winston-Salem and Double-A Birmingham in 2022.
