12/19/24 Tampa Bay Rays Top Prospect Made History on Bases in 2024. With the calendar year of 2024 winding down, it's time to take a look back at some of the biggest accomplishments of the year. For the Tampa Bay Rays, one of the biggest organizational accomplishments was the pure dominance of top prospect Chandler Simpson. The No. 70 overall pick in the 2022 Draft became the first Minor Leaguer to eclipse the century mark in steals since 2012 with his performance at High-A Bowling Green and Double-A Montgomery. Unlike in 2023, when Simpson tied his friend Victor Scott II atop the MiLB leaderboard with 94 each, no one was all that close to him this year.

9/10/24 Cardinals call up prospect, MVP and trade deadline gem Thomas Saggese to assist infield. In need of an assist for their infield, the Cardinals are turning to a prospect and in return he'll get a head start on making an impression for 2025. Thomas Saggese, the headliner of the Cardinals' trade-deadline acquisitions in 2023, will be promoted to the majors ahead of Tuesday night's game at Busch Stadium against the Cincinnati Reds. The Cardinals made room on the roster later in the afternoon by optioning center fielder Victor Scott II to Class AAA Memphis. Saggese will start at shortstop on Tuesday night in his MLB debut.

9/02/24 How rookie Victor Scott II is getting up to speed — and can use his more, too: Cardinals Extra. While playing time has the potential to slow considerably for rookie Victor Scott II in the coming weeks, the Cardinals have an idea to use his time out of the present lineup to get up to speed on the ways his “elite” skill should propel future lineups. “You can't have him up here if there's not a deliberate plan for development while he's here,” manager Oliver Marmol said. Scott, the Cardinals' opening day center fielder when he dashed out of spring and into the lineup due to injuries ahead of him, spent the past month as the Cardinals' starter again in center. The return Monday of Michael Siani from an oblique strain meant the Cardinals plan to start him “the bulk of the time” in center, displacing Scott for the time being into a part-time role.

Rookie Victor Scott II had three hits and scored the run that snapped a scoreless tie in the seventh, leading the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Masyn Winn and Alec Burleson each added two hits apiece in the nine-hit attack for St. Louis. The Cardinals won the final two games to take the series after losing seven of their previous nine games. The Central Division-leading Brewers had won six consecutive games before the consecutive losses to the second-place Cardinals, who still trail Milwaukee by 10 games. Milwaukee recorded just three hits, with only one after the first inning.

8/10/24 Victor Scott II's double just one of many critical plays in Cardinals comeback win in KC. The three-run margin of victory doesn't convey just how many potential pivot points the Cardinals willed in their favor on Friday night against their cross-state, interleague rivals. With two outs in the eighth inning, the Cardinals trailed the Kansas City Royals by a run. Victor Scott II waited in the on-deck circle to find out the result of the video replay review. Scott got his shot with two runners on, two outs, and the Cardinals trailing by a run.

5/15/24 Who could Cardinals promote from Memphis at some point this season to make their major-league debut?. Three players have made their major-league debut for the Cardinals so far this season – Victor Scott II, Pedro Pages and Chris Roycroft – but they likely won't be the only ones to do that this year. There are at least four players currently at Triple A Memphis who appear to be on the radar for a promotion to the majors at some point before the end of the season.
