The wide receiver, who was acquired by the Houston Texans last month in a trade, shared a video on his Instagram story Thursday of him executing elevated pushups with an added twist -- three plates, which are typically 45-pounds each, on his back. Colts pick up 5th-year option on former Michigan first-round pick. Former Michigan defensive end Kwity Paye will be with the Indianapolis Colts for the foreseeable future. The Colts exercised the fifth-year option on his rookie contract Thursday, keeping the 2021 first-round pick under contract through the 2025 season. The move guarantees Paye a guaranteed salary of $13.387 million for the 2025 season, although his cap hit will still be a modest $4.3 million in 2024. Paye is coming off a season where he set career career highs in games played (16), tackles (52), sacks (8 1/2) and forced fumbles (two) for Indianapolis, which finished 9-8 after going 4-12-1 in 2022.

The Dallas Cowboys came into the offseason knowing that they were likely to lose many of their quality free agents, which they were going to replace mostly through the draft. Skipping out almost entirely on free agency wasn't the desired path for fans of the team, but the organization claims to feel good about where they're at after the draft. With signing free agents now no longer counting against their compensatory pick formula for next season, expect the Cowboys to add another veteran or two before training camp. Reuniting running back Ezekiel Elliott was the first player to be signed, and the hope is that more quality arrives.

Sam Howell, who has never taken a snap for the Seahawks, may very well be plugged in as the club's quarterback of the future. Fans in the Northwest can be forgiven for thinking that job was taken, and that Geno Smith's multi-year contract proved it. The Seahawks won that matchup 29-26 on a late Jason Myers field goal, but the result certainly wasn't Howell's fault. An American, Dublanko was eligible for the CFL draft because his father is from Edmonton.
