Vikings Can’t ‘100% Forever’ Rule Out Aaron Rodgers; Team Currently Happy With QB Room. The Minnesota Vikings are leaving themselves just enough wiggle room to turn to QB Aaron Rodgers later this offseason. Jets Insider Hints NY Could Cut $44 Million Playmaker. The New York Jets have already made a lot of moves this offseason but there has been a lack of one that has been somewhat surprising. As the offseason really started to heat up after the hiring of Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey, reports started to surface that they were going to make sweeping changes. This was done by cutting ties with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams along with others. While this is the case, another guy whose name popped up in rumors was receiver Allen Lazard.

Washington Commanders (DEF - WAS)

Commanders offensive coach listed as potential candidate for Stanford Cardinal HC job. The Washington Commanders had one of the top offenses in the league last season under the first year of Kliff Kingsbury and Jayden Daniels paired together. Washington's offense was so good, in fact, that it distracted from the team's lapses on the defensive side of the ball and was one of the key reasons they were able to make it all the way to the NFC Championship game. Things have changed since that unfortunate loss to the Philadelphia Eagles as the Commanders are going all-in to maximize the talents of Daniels along with the rest of the roster, making big moves across free agency as well as via trade. Much of the attention has been paid to how to improve the defense from a season ago, and the Commanders have, however, they have also improved their already potent offense by bringing in guys such as Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil.

Could Panthers make blockbuster trade with Steelers to help Bryce Young?. Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers have a much more favorable outlook heading into the 2025 season than they have had in a long time. After the young quarterback started showing flashes of franchise quarterback potential in 2024, the front office now needs to add more talent around him. Currently, the Panthers do not have a legitimate go-to wide receiver. If they do opt to pursue that option, the Pittsburgh Steelers could be an ideal trade partner.

Cowboys urged to trade back in NFL Draft if top prospect is off board. The Dallas Cowboys have several areas of need on the roster and will have a big opportunity to add talent during the 2025 NFL Draft. Wide receiver and running back have been trendy picks for Dallas in the draft community, but one NFL analyst has a different suggestion. Chad Reuter of NFL.com suggested a handful of trades that "teams should make" in this year's draft, with the Cowboys being urged to trade back with the Denver Broncos. Reuter believes Dallas should trade back if Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty is off of the board, picking up an extra second-round pick in the process and still having an opportunity to land UNC star running back Omarion Hampton or a top wide receiver.

Panthers predicted to draft 23-sack superstar after blockbuster trade with Giants. The Carolina Panthers entered the offseason with a desperate need to improve one of the league's worst defenses from last year, something the team has made strides in doing. Carolina managed to keep two key defenders in town in Jaycee Horn and Michael Jackson, and the team brought in Tershawn Warton, Tre'von Moehrig, Bobby Brown and Patrick Jones II. Despite all that, the Panthers still need more help, and specifically on the edge, where the team needs more depth and is facing a situation in which Jadeveon Clowney and D.J. Kurtenbach: The 49ers will have to pay for Brandon Aiyuk's deal, one way or another. The 49ers, desperate to reset their balance sheets ahead of the 2025 season for reasons that straddle the line between hubris and ignorance, are trying to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk before April 1. Doing so would not only rid them of the injured receiver but, more importantly, the money remaining on his contract, with $31 million in future injury guarantees vesting next Tuesday, per OverTheCap. The 49ers' front office wasn't unified in its decision to give Aiyuk the $120 million contract he signed late last August. David Latham of Last Word On Sports recently listed the Saints as a "best fit" for Los Angeles Chargers offensive guard Zion Johnson in a potential blockbuster trade.

3 NFL Free Agent signings the Dallas Cowboys will wish they made. The Dallas Cowboys were far more active this year during NFL free agency than last. Thankfully, there wasn't anything as bad as dropping the ball when Derrick Henry was openly campaigning to join the team, but the Cowboys still ignored a few players in free agency who could have helped. Dallas was never linked to Bobby Brown III, who ended up signing with the Carolina Panthers — but they should have been.

Commanders continue replacing previous regime in new mock NFL Draft. There's been a public perception about the way the Washington Commanders are building their roster under general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn. The so-called "their guys" approach to building the roster is nothing new, of course, but the trades and releases of several recent first-round picks made by the previous Commanders leadership heightened the sense that if you were drafted before Peters arrived, you might not be here much longer. While Quinn has maintained that as soon as he took the job to coach in Washington, every guy became "his guy," the belief is still there to a certain extent.

Saints predicted to draft 6'1, 151-TD quarterback as Derek Carr replacement. Despite having a horrendous financial situation, the New Orleans Saints decided not to commit to a rebuild this offseason and instead will stay the course. There was no shortage of speculation that the Saints could cut or trade starting quarterback Derek Carr in 2025. Carr is signed through 2026, but the Saints might want to get the ball rolling on adding a long-term replacement at the position. In his most recent mock draft, CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso has the Saints taking Shedeur Sanders with the No. 9 pick.

Lions predicted to pick up estimated $36 million in options for young stars. The NFL offseason is in full swing, as teams are currently signing veterans in free agency and preparing for the upcoming draft to put together their roster for the 2025 season. After the draft, every team that selected a player in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft will have to make their decision on fifth-year options on those players for the 2026 season. The Detroit Lions selected two players in the first round in 2022, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and wide receiver Jameson Williams, and Pro Football Focus' Bradley Locker believes that Detroit will pick up options for both players.

The one position on their offense that they've yet to solidify is their tight end position. Tyler Higbee has been their starter for years, but after last season, where he couldn't stay healthy, they need to look for a better option. Despite bringing in a new coaching staff, the New Orleans Saints are running it back with the core pieces of the offense in 2025. The organization already made their decision in regards to Derek Carr, restructuring his contract to keep him in The Big Easy for at least one more season. Are the Washington Commanders the most improved team after free agency?. The NFL free agency period is still open as teams look to fill out remaining holes left on their roster with the NFL draft coming up in an exactly one month where teams will begin to usher in young, athletic talent to go along with their free agent hauls. The Washington Commanders have been one of the most active teams this free agency, both in signing key pieces and depth from the market along with splash moves made via trade. The Commanders are hopeful that these all-in sort of transactions will result in them making it even further than their NFC Championship appearance just a season ago. While many can look at what Washington has done as a net positive, there is always the off chance that things can backfire; just look at what occurred in Houston with the Texans after going all-in last offseason.
