| 12/31/24 | Texas Rangers adding pitcher David Buchanan on minors deal. The Texas Rangers are adding another arm to bring to spring training. The organization on Tuesday agreed to a minor-league contract with right-handed pitcher David Buchanan, a person with knowledge of the transaction confirmed to The Dallas Morning News. The deal includes an invitation to Surprise, Ariz. for camp. After spending the majority of last season in the minors, Buchanan, 35, appeared in one game with the Cincinnati Reds, giving up one run over 3 1/3 innings.
