12/25/24 How Broncos' Alex Singleton, Wil Lutz ended up in the Colorado Ballet's rendition of “The Nutcracker”. If you find yourself in a Christmas chariot this week, perhaps a pair of Broncos will be carrying it. Denver inside linebacker Alex Singleton and kicker Wil Lutz looked like pros over the weekend at the Colorado Ballet's performance of “The Nutcracker.” The duo made brief appearances in the ballet's rendition of the Christmas classic on Sunday night at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House downtown. It lasted, Singleton told The Denver Post, maybe two minutes.

11/28/24 Broncos kicker is the AFC Special Teams Player of Week. Deserving as Wil Lutz was when he received his first player of the week honor, winning it a second time had to be extra special for him and the team. Just two weeks after the blocked kick debacle that cost the Denver Broncos a win at Kansas City, Lutz was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his 5 for 5 field goal effort in a 29-19 win Sunday at Las Vegas.

11/24/24 Cover 4: Broncos battle past Raiders 29-19 in divisional road win. BOX-SCORE STANDOUTS Wil Lutz kept the Broncos within striking distance in the first half as he made kicks of 38, 53 and 54 yards before the break. He added two more field goals in the second half to go a perfect 5-of-5 on the afternoon. Nik Bonitto reached double-digit sacks for the first time in his career with a late-game strip-sack of Desmond Ridder. Malcolm Roach , who recorded a sack of his own, gets a nod for recovering the fumble. Pat Surtain II recorded a critical goal-line pass breakup and was critical in the Broncos' efforts to hold tight end Brock Bowers to four catches for 38 yards on 10 targets. Bo Nix responded in the second half and finished the game 25-of-42 for 273 yards, two

11/14/24 Bronco notes: Team has worked on field goal unit 'corrections over past couple days'. Mike Westhoff is gone, presumably not far from his fishing boat off Fort Myers, Fla. But it was the Chiefs' standout special teamer Leo Chenal who blasted Forsyth on his backside before blocking Wil Lutz's 35-yard field-goal attempt.

11/13/24 NFL Week 11: Can the Saints Replicate the Energy and Passion to Knock Off the Browns?. The Saints pulled out the last-minute win via a Wil Lutz field goal. With the Saints releasing Connor McGovern on Monday, it pointed to the likelihood of Erik McCoy returning to the lineup this week. For the first time since Week 3, New Orleans could have their full offensive line in the lineup. Lucas Patrick missed the last game with an ankle injury, so that'll be something to keep tabs on.

11/11/24 Imperfect Chiefs remain perfect by delivering again on the final play, this time against Denver. The Broncos didn't take advantage of it. The Chiefs blocked a 35-yard field-goal try by Denver kicker Wil Lutz as time expired on Sunday, preserving their 16-14 victory and making them just the fifth Super Bowl champion to start 9-0 the following season. Perhaps it is that unwavering sense of belief that is setting Kansas City apart from the rest of the league these days. The Chiefs have lost their top two wide receivers to injury, along with their starting running back and one of their two best cornerbacks.

11/11/24 Prayers and cheeseburgers? Chiefs have unlikely fuel for inexplicable run. Leo Chenal knew it wouldn't hurt to pray. The Kansas City Chiefs undefeated season and franchise-record winning streak were poised to bite the dust as Wil Lutz lined up for a 35-yard field goal with one second on the clock at Arrowhead Stadium. For all the close calls survived this season, the Chiefs were so doomed. Then came what Chenal would later describe as “complete shock.”

11/10/24 NFL roundup: Chiefs block Broncos' last-gasp field goal to stay perfect. The Chiefs blocked Broncos kicker Wil Lutz's 35-yard field goal attempt as time expired, and Kansas City escaped with a narrow victory over the Broncos to extend their winning streak to 15 games dating to last season. The Chiefs (9-0) had taken the lead on Harrison Butker's field goal with 5:57 remaining, but Bo Nix and the Broncos (5-5) converted on a trio of third downs while marching right back down field.

10/28/24 Broncos stock report: Denver must improve on ball security to be serious playoff contender. Here's a look at whose stock improved or declined after the Broncos' 28-14 win over the Panthers on Sunday. Red-zone offense: Broncos kicker Wil Lutz didn't attempt a field goal — and that was a good thing. Denver scored four touchdowns on five red-zone trips. Quarterback Bo Nix was responsible for each touchdown, throwing for three and scoring on a keeper in the second quarter.

10/18/24 Wil Lutz responds to boos from the Caesars Superdome crowd. Wil Lutz did not exactly receive the warmest welcome in a night filled with all of the pageantry and about as much embarrassment as the New Orleans Saints could have suffered in their 33-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday. And there's good reason for that. Lutz…

9/23/24 Renck: Broncos' Sean Payton finally produces signature win with decision to take ball first. Skewered for his outdated offense, ripped for not customizing plays for a rookie quarterback, criticized for game management decisions, Sean Payton decided if the Broncos won the coin toss they were taking the ball. Captains Alex Singleton and Wil Lutz learned moments before walking to midfield. When they announced in the press box that the Broncos would receive — the offense logged 14 three-and-outs in two straight losses — I figured Payton had lost it, his mind melting in the 90-degree heat and humidity.

9/16/24 Renck: Only thing worse than Broncos offense? Coach Sean Payton's decisions.. Coach Sean Payton staring down at his Waffle House menu-sized playsheet in disappointment remains the lasting image of a forgettable Sunday afternoon. Payton crunched the numbers, relied on his instincts, and made a series of baffling if not indefensible decisions. The Broncos trailed 13-6 after Wil Lutz booted a 29-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining. Denver had one timeout left.

With their sputtering offense, the Broncos realistically needed the ball back at midfield to drive for a touchdown.

8/28/24 Young, sure, but 'rebuilding' is a matter of Broncos debate. All those kids at the back end of the Broncos' roster have created the feel of youth. — nine rookies on the Broncos' active roster and zero 10-year veterans. Broncos with the most NFL experience are kicker Wil Lutz and punter Riley Dixon, each with nine years. Among regular position players, the seniors are left tackle Garett Bolles and defensive tackle D.J. Jones.
