The New York Post's Jon Heyman has reported that Keller signed a deal with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball. Author: Matt Levine Publish date: Nov 22, 2023 1:00 PM EST In this story: Los Angeles Angels MLB insider Robert Murray is reporting that former Angels reliever Kyle Keller is drawing interest from six major league teams this offseason. He spent the past two years pitching in Japan and he is also getting some interest from NPB teams. Keller appeared in two games for the Angels during the 2020 season. He only threw 2.1 innings of work and posted a poor ERA of 7.71 in that limited sample size. He was originally an 18th-round pick by the Miami Marlins in 2015 and he worked his way up through the minor leagues.

9/12/21 Kiebert Ruiz OK after being hit in head by pitch on busy night behind, at the plate. Washington Nationals rookie catcher Kiebert Ruiz left Saturday night’s 10-7 loss to Pittsburgh after a Kyle Keller pitch hit him in the head. Manager Davey Martinez said afterward that X-rays were negative, and that Ruiz would be re-evaluated on Sunday. It was the end of a brief but eventful night for the 23-year-old, one of the key pieces of the Max Scherzer/Trea Turner deadline deal, along with battery-mate Josiah Gray.

According to sources, the Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired RHP Kyle Keller from the Los Angeles Angels for cash considerations.
