10/28/22 Lesky's Notes: The 40-man roster is actually down to 40. Teams start to clear out their 40-man roster this time of year in moves that are generally not noticed by the general public. As you know because you’re avid readers of Royals Review, the Royals lost both Tyler Zuber and Luke Weaver to waivers with the Diamondbacks claiming Zuber and the Mariners claiming Weaver. The Zuber one stings for me because I really thought he could be an effective reliever, but he just couldn’t throw strikes at the big league level and then missed the entire 2022 season.

5/21/21 Royals Beaten by Corpse of Miguel Cabrera, 7-5. Minor began the seventh by giving up hits to the first two Tigers. He was pulled for Tyler Zuber, who poured gasoline on the fire by giving up a single to load the bases. The Royals caught a massive break when Jacoby Jones was thrown out at home trying to score on a wild pitch, but Zuber gave the baserunner right back by walking the next hitter to re-load the bases.

7/25/20 Tyler Zuber has been buzzing since making MLB debut Friday. The undersized rookie Tyler Zuber says making the Royals' Opening Day roster and pitching two innings of scoreless relief in his MLB debut felt pretty great. "I remember all the doubters. ... I did what they said I couldn't do."
