The Texas Rangers have an MLB-high five players selected to the Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game this Saturday at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz. Infield prospects Max Acosta and Cody Freeman, outfielder Alejandro Osuna, and right-handed pitcher Marc Church will participate in the game, which features some of the top prospects from around the minor leagues playing in he AFL. | 10/12/24 | This Texas Rangers Prospect Flying Under Arizona Fall League Radar. There was a time when Texas Rangers pitching prospect Marc Church seemed like he was on a fast track to the Majors. The Arizona Fall League gives him a chance to speed things up again. MLB Pipeline recently wrote about under-the-radar prospects for each team in the AFL and the site selected Church, the former 18th round pick out of Atlanta, Ga., in 2019. Three of the Texas Rangers' top 30 prospects are heading to play for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League, Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday. Outfielder Alejandro Osuna (No. 16), and right-handed pitchers Josh Stephan (No. 25) and Skylar Hales (No. 29) lead a list of eight Rangers prospects invited to pariticpate. Church was clocked at 92 mph, and his career in baseball made a fateful turn.
