9/07/24 Dodgers throw out another SOS for pitcher to oppose Guardians. Running thin on options in the starting rotation, the Los Angeles Dodgers will have left-hander Justin Wrobleski make his return, even after he was sent back to the minor leagues this week following a disastrous outing. Wrobleski (1-2, 6.82 ERA) will start Saturday against the visiting Cleveland Guardians, less than a week after the rookie was rocked in an outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The following day, Wrobleski was sent back to Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the Dodgers need him again after right-hander Gavin Stone went on the injured list Friday with shoulder inflammation.

9/02/24 Dave Roberts Unsure Of Andy Pages' Role With Dodgers. When active rosters expanded to 28 players on Sunday, the Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Justin Wrobleski and Andy Pages from Triple-A Oklahoma City before their matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Wrobleski struggled in a spot start, allowing a career-worst 10 runs and 10 hits over 5.1 innings of work. The right-hander's ability to pitch into the sixth inning nevertheless helped preserve the bullpen, which earned praise from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. As for Pages, he went 0-for-3 after replacing Mookie Betts in right field during the bottom of the third.

9/02/24 Dave Roberts Pushed Justin Wrobleski To 'Salvage' Dodgers Bullpen. Justin Wrobleski rejoined the Los Angeles Dodgers when rosters expanded on Sept. 1 and made a spot start against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The right-hander endured the worst outing of his big league career largely due to a disastrous second inning that saw the Diamondbacks push eight runs across the plate. Wrobleski went on to allow 10 runs on 10 hits while striking out two and walking two. A silver lining was that he provided 5.1 innings, which helped preserve the Dodgers bullpen for the wraparound series finale on Labor Day.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are just over halfway through a stretch of playing 13 consecutive off days, which has placed a strain on their pitching staff. To help mitigate some of the pressure on their rotation, the Dodgers are recalling Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make a spot start Friday. Bobby Miller was scheduled to start for the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, but he was scratched in the event the Dodgers need another option.

7/21/24 Dave Roberts Impressed By Dodgers Prospect Justin Wrobleski. With several key starting pitchers working their way back from injury, Justin Wrobleski became the latest Los Angeles Dodgers prospect to make his MLB debut earlier this month. The left-hander was called up for a spot start against the Milwaukee Brewers and had mixed results. Wrobleski then faced the Detroit Tigers in what was another inconsistent start, but nevertheless provided five innings on the mound.

7/20/24 Alexander: A day in the life of a rookie pitcher. By the time 11 hectic, thrilling, gripping, borderline insane innings were completed at Dodger Stadium Saturday night, the kid who took the mound for the home side at the start of the evening may have been forgotten. Left-hander Justin Wrobleski is one of the young guys asked to hold down the fort while much of what was expected to be a vaunted Dodgers pitching staff has been in various stages of injury, recovery, simulated games, rehab starts and the like. Wrobleski made his third big league start his best so far: No runs, three hits, two walks and five strikeouts in 4-1/3 innings.

7/14/24 Los Angeles Dodgers prospect upset with starts. Justin Wrobleski became the latest Los Angeles Dodgers prospect to make his MLB debut as the left-hander received an opportunity at the beginning of the week due to mounting injuries in the starting rotation. Wrobleski was inserted for a spot start against the Milwaukee Brewers, which pushed Bobby Miller back to the Philadelphia Phillies series. The left-hander went five innings and allowed back-to-back home runs in a no-decision. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wrobleski was likely being optioned back to Triple-A Oklahoma City the following day but he remained with the team due to Tyler Glasnow going on the 15-day injured list.
