| 11/04/24 | Tigers drop 3 players to start postseason roster shuffle. DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers dropped three players from the 40-man roster in their first round of offseason housekeeping. First baseman/outfielder Bligh Madris; outfielder Ryan Vilade; and left-handed pitcher Bryan Sammons were waived and then outrighted to Triple-A Toledo after going unclaimed. The moves were necessary to create space for players who ended the season on the 60-day injured list. They were required to be reinstated on Monday night. Shortstop Javier Baez; and right-handed pitchers Alex Faedo and Sawyer Gipson-Long are back on the 40-man roster, which is now full.
