6/23/25 For Cardinals prospects Quinn Mathews and Tekoah Roby, Triple A learning curve includes a different baseball. The game might be the same, but there is one important element of the game that is different between Double A and Triple A. Young pitchers such as Cardinals prospects Tekoah Roby and Quinn Mathews have found that out as they moved up from Springfield to Memphis. Games at the Triple A level are played with the same baseball that is used in the major leagues, while games at the Double A level and farther down in the minors are played with what is referred to as the minor-league ball.

6/10/25 Cardinals 'Electric' Prospect Has Shot At 2025 Big League Debut. The St. Louis Cardinals have significant pieces working their way to the big leagues. One guy who specifically has had a great year down in the minors is right-handed pitcher Tekoah Roby. Roby has been good enough that the team announced on Monday that they were promoting him to the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds for the first time in his young career. "RHP Tekoah Roby has been transferred from Springfield (AA) to Memphis (AAA)," the team announced.

2/28/25 Astros beat Cardinals 3-2 in spring training game. After two years dealing with one injury after another, Tekoah Roby really had one goal coming into spring training for the Cardinals this year. Roby knew that if he was finally able to stay healthy, his pitching performance would thrust him right back near the top of the list of pitching prospects in the organization. Roby became the first Cardinal to work three innings this spring in Friday's game against the Astros in West Palm Beach. Roby, 23, only pitched in one game last spring and then was limited to 38 innings in the regular season because of a pair of injuries, which also limited him to just 58 innings in 2023, when the Cardinals acquired him and Thomas Saggese in the trade that sent Jordan Montgomery to the Texas Rangers.
