8/09/25 Seattle Mariners Set to Face Fascinating Roster Decisions as Season Winds Down. At 64-53 entering play on Saturday, the Seattle Mariners are certainly in a good spot. Seattle hasn't made the playoffs since 2022 and it hasn't won the American League West since the 2001 campaign. Miller has been on the shelf two times this season for elbow issues, but he's made two rehab starts at Triple-A Tacoma and figures to be back within the next two weeks. The Mariners are counting on him to return to form, and he'll easily slot in for rookie Logan Evans, who is already up against his career-high in professional innings.

7/04/25 Logan Evans Pitches His Way into Seattle Mariners History with Latest Performance. The Seattle Mariners lost 3-2 against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday night, but it was no fault of young rookie Logan Evans. The right-hander, who was called up to the big leagues for a spot start, delivered 5.2 scoreless innings in his third tour with the big-league club this season. Evans, 24, is 3-2 this season with a 2.96 ERA. It's unclear what the Mariners will do moving forward with this rotation spot, as they could elect to give Evans another start before the All-Star break, or they could try to use a bullpen day at some point before the break and go with an extra reliever.

7/03/25 Logan Evans strong in return, but Mariners stumble late vs. Royals. Kansas City scored three times in the seventh inning, and the Mariners had to settle for a series split even with Logan Evans providing a strong start after being called up from the minors.

6/13/25 Mariners add groundball specialist to take place of standout rookie pitcher. The Seattle Mariners made an under-the-radar pitching move Friday that they hope pays short-term dividends. To create roster space, the M's had to send down rookie starter Logan Evans, who has a 3.38 ERA so far. Coming up in Evans' place is right-handed reliever Zach Pop. Pop began the season with the Blue Jays but was released in April. He's been pitching for Triple-A Tacoma since, just waiting for his chance. The 28-year old Pop threw 48.1 innings for Toronto last season with a 5.59 ERA. His calling card is his mid-90s sinker that has earned him a 55% ground-ball rate as an MLB pitcher. 6/10/25 Seattle Mariners Recall Rookie Pitcher Logan Evans Amid More Injuries. One of the Seattle Mariners most impressive rookies this season will return to the major league roster due to another injury to the starting rotation. Logan Evans was recalled by the Mariners from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday and third-year starting pitcher Bryce Miller was placed on the injured list (retroactive to June 7) with right shoulder inflammation in a corresponding move. Evans will start for Seattle in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at 6:40 p.m. PT on Tuesday.

6/09/25 BREAKING: Seattle Mariners to Re-call Rookie Pitcher as Injury Strikes Rotation. MONDAY NIGHT: Evans will start on Tuesday, and Miller will hit the injured list. MONDAY AFTERNOON: Seattle Mariners rookie Logan Evans is with the team in Arizona, according to multiple reports, including one from Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710. Perhaps he could be getting ready to take the place of Bryce Miller, who is scheduled to start Thursday against the Diamondbacks. Miller has battled discomfort and ineffectiveness all season, so perhaps the team could be looking to skip a start to give him a breather, or perhaps another injured list stint could be coming.

5/29/25 Brady's Spin: Demoting Logan Evans Might Be Unfair, But It's Totally Understandable. On Wednesday, the Seattle Mariners surprised some fans by sending youngster Logan Evans down to Triple-A Tacoma. Evans, 23, has made six starts for Seattle, going 3-1 with a 2.83 ERA. Bryce Miller is coming back from the injured list soon, maybe even as soon as Friday.

The Seattle Mariners rookie starting pitcher Logan Evans had the best start of his career and was supported by his starting catcher Cal Raleigh in a 9-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday at T-Mobile Park. Seattle improved to 30-23 on the season and maintained a 1.5-game lead over the Houston Astros in the American League West. Evans went eight innings — the longest outing for a Mariners starter this season. "Obviously the story — Logan Evans," Seattle manager Dan Wilson said in a postgame interview.
