Major League Baseball's trade deadline triggered a domino effect that has sent former St. Paul's Episcopal standout Blaine Crim to the Colorado Rockies. | 8/03/25 | Texas Rangers 1B Blaine Crim claimed off waiver wire by Colorado Rockies. On Sunday, the Texas Rangers announced that first baseman Blaine Crim was claimed off the waiver wire by Colorado and has been sent to the Rockies. The 28-year-old righty was designated for assignment by the Rangers after the team's flurry of last-minute trade deadline moves on Thursday. Outfielder Dustin Harris was also DFA'd by the Rangers, but cleared waivers and was reassigned to Triple-A Round Rock. | 5/26/25 | Rangers Call Up Slugging Infielder Blaine Crim for Second Time This Month. The Texas Rangers had an opening on their active roster. This is now his second-career stint in the Majors with both happenings taking place in the month of May. Crim was a 19th-round pick by the Rangers in 2019. Texas needs all the offensive help they can get, so giving Crim a shot is not a bad idea considering he has hit 20 or more homers in all four of his full professional seasons. | 5/09/25 | Texas Rangers name minor league monthly award winners — and one of them is in the majors. Blaine Crim, who made his major league debut just last week, was named the Texas Rangers minor league Player of the Month for April. A couple of other award winners might not be far behind: Right-hander Cole Winn was named the reliever of the month and outfielder Alejandro Osuna, who is tearing up Double-A both offensively and defensively was named the defender of the month. Young starter David Davalillo, who is currently at advanced Class A Hub City (Spartanburg, S.C.) was named the starting pitcher of the month.
