7/02/25 Watch: Former Rangers Top Prospect Belts First Big League Homer. The first half the 2025 Texas Rangers' season was largely characterized by the team's struggles at the plate, with just about every hitter in the clubhouse struggling in one way or another. This included former top prospect Alejandro Osuna, who was called up back in May after getting off to a blazing hot start down in Triple-A. Osuna, who was named the Rangers' minor league player of the year in 2024, was promoted in hopes that he could provide some sort of juice for Texas' sputtering bats. Across the 50 at-bats Osuna had prior to Tuesday night's matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, the 22-year-old was only hitting .160 and had an OPS sitting at .475.

7/01/25 Texas Rangers' rookie Alejandro Osuna mashes first homer in major leagues vs. Orioles. Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis García told left fielder Alejandro Osuna that his home run was coming after Monday night's loss to the Baltimore Orioles. When Osuna talked to his twin brother Tuesday morning, his twin said almost the exact same thing. In his first two plate appearances in Tuesday night's 10-2 win against the Orioles, it didn't look like it was going to happen. Osuna grounded out to third and then struck out.

6/18/25 Despite less playing time, Rangers see value to keeping Alejandro Osuna in majors. For now. The Rangers may soon face a question of what is best for Alejandro Osuna: Sitting on their bench or playing every day in the minors. For now, at least, they will tilt towards the majors. There are concerns that the lack of playing time could negatively impact the growth of a young player who had only eight games at Triple-A before being promoted to the minors. Be the smartest Rangers fan.

5/30/25 What's the origin of Texas Rangers rookie Alejandro Osuna's elaborate at-bat routine?. Alejandro Osuna brought energy, passion and a ceaseless smile with him when he made his major league debut for the Texas Rangers last weekend. Osuna, a 22-year-old outfielder, has an elaborate pre-at-bat routine that he's perfected and added to over the course of six years. Be the smartest Rangers fan. “The first time I started doing it,” said Osuna, who first adopted the ritual as a 16-year-old in Mexico, “I didn't flip my bat, I was very scared to.”

Evan and John break down a 1-5 road trip and what the addition of Alejandro Osuna might mean in both the short- and long-term. Jake Burger joins the guys to explain the role of his minor league assignment, if there is divine intervention involved in his turnaround and exactly how as a pro player he ended up playing in a college league during the pandemic.

5/27/25 Rangers Rising Star Alejandro Osuna Shines in MLB Home Debut. Texas Rangers outfielder Alejandro Osuna's first at-bat at Globe Life Field ended with a flyout in the third inning, thanks to a well-placed Kevin Gausman splitter. In the fifth inning, he got another shot at the Toronto Blue Jays' two-time All-Star, who was pitching a masterful game. Osuna got that splitter again, this time low and inside. “After that I was normal,” Osuna said with a smile after the Texas Rangers' 2-1 loss.

5/26/25 For Alejandro Osuna, first two Rangers games show how his joy and energy provide a spark. While Alejandro Osuna went hitless in his major league debut on Sunday, the rookie outfielder picked up not only his first major league hit on Monday, but also his second. It accounted for most of the Rangers' offensive “highlights” in a 2-1 loss to Toronto. Actually, if only some of the veterans had the same approach as the 22-year-old, who was playing in front of his parents, his sister, his twin brother and his girlfriend at Globe Life Field, maybe the Rangers wouldn't have found themselves on the losing end for the seventh time in the last eight games. Be the smartest Rangers fan.
