8/07/25 Is Help on the Way for Diamondbacks' Bullpen?. The Arizona Diamondbacks bullpen continues to be a sore spot. Every time it looks like the relievers might be finding their footing, another poor stretch takes place. Arizona blew a ninth inning lead on Wednesday, and also suffered an extra loss on Tuesday. In addition to rookie relievers already on the roster such as Kyle Backhus and Andrew Hoffmann, the D-backs have a number of other younger relievers in Triple-A that they could turn to.

8/06/25 Diamondbacks Blow Another Late Lead to Lose to San Diego. It feels inevitable on nights the Arizona Diamondbacks have a late lead, that the bullpen will give up that lead. Wednesday was one of those times, and the feelings were justified, as the D-backs blew a 2-0 lead on the San Diego Padres, losing 3-2. Kyle Backhus had pitched marvelously just two nights before, registering a two inning save. Backhus came back out for the ninth and gave up a game tying home run to Ryan O'hearn.

7/11/25 Angels slip past Diamondbacks 6-5 on d'Arnaud's RBI single in ninth. Travis d’Arnaud hit a pinch-hit RBI single down the left-field line in the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 6-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night. Logan O’Hoppe was hit by a pitch with one out against left-hander Kyle Backhus (0-1) before Luis Rengifo singled and d’Arnaud delivered in place of Gustavo Campero. Zach Neto and Yoan Moncada each hit home runs in the first inning for the Angels, while Nolan Schanuel and Rengifo each had three hits as LA improved to 7-3 against NL West teams this season.
