2/17/24 Green gets full spring experience with Jays. Reliever Chad Green is getting the full spring experience this time around with the Toronto Blue Jays. Unlike last year when he was recovering from Tommy John surgery, the veteran right-hander is building up for the campaign with a regular throwing routine and participation in fielding drills at the team's player development complex. “He's going to be rock solid and he can pitch anywhere,” closer Jordan Romano said Saturday. A guy with experience, a guy that's been good his whole career.

11/08/23 3 pitcher trade targets for the Blue Jays this offseason. On paper, it doesn't make much sense for the Toronto Blue Jays to acquire a starting pitcher or reliever on the trade market this winter. After picking up Chad Green's two-year contract option, the Blue Jays now have most of their bullpen spots pencilled in for the 2024 season. It's unlikely the Blue Jays use their resources trading for pitchers this offseason, but if they decide to do an about face, here are some pitchers they should keep in mind.

11/06/23 Former Yankees pitcher with growing role won't leave rival. Former Yankees reliever Chad Green will stay in Toronto for two more years, reported MLB Network's Jon Morosi on Monday. After negotiations with the Yankees last offseason, the 32-year-old pitcher figured his time in New York was over. “I kind of put two and two together and realized that probably my Yankee career was over at that time,” he told Gary Phillips of The New York Daily News in September. Instead, Green landed a two-year, $8.5 million contract with the Blue Jays which included a two-year club option - this is the reason he's staying in Toronto.
