5/02/24 | Willy powers Crew. The Milwaukee Brewers kept it about baseball in the rough and tumble series with the Tampa Bay Rays, winning the finale at American Family Field Wednesday afternoon 7-1. Willy Adames had the biggest bat with a pair of home runs and four driven in. After William Contreras got things going with a two run double in the third, Adames made it 3-0 with a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth. Blake Perkins delivered a run scoring double in 4th and that got Adames back to the plate and he launched a three run shot that landed at nearly the identical spot at the right-center field wall. 5/02/24 | Brewers Handle Rays As Murphy Serves Suspension. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Willy Adames stayed hot and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-1 on Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field. Adames homered for the second straight day, this time nailing two long balls including a three run blast in the 7th. He had four RBIs on the day. William Contreras had two RBIs and Oliver Dunn had one. Colin Rea pitched six shutout innings with 5 Ks for the win. Milwaukee, now 19-11, will have Thursday off before starting a weekend series in Chicago vs the Cubs on Friday. MLB also announced suspensions for the fracas involving the Brewers and Rays from Tuesday night's game. Milwaukee's Willy Adames belted two home runs and drove in four runs and Colin Rea pitched six shutout innings as the Brewers defeated visiting Tampa Bay, 7-1, in the final meeting of a three-game series on Wednesday afternoon. Adames, who also homered in Tuesday's win, stayed hot at the plate with a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth inning and a three-run home run in the seventh to help the Brewers put the game out of reach. Tampa Bay was unable to crack Rea (3-0) on the mound, as the Brewers starting pitcher limited the Rays to just four hits and two walks, while striking out five batters over six scoreless innings. 5/01/24 | Brewers End Skid With Win Over Rays. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers offense came alive in an 8-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night at American Family Field. Willy Adames had a three run homer and drove in four. Brice Turang had three RBIs and William Contreras had one. New call-up Tyler Black got two hits in his major league debut. 4/30/24 | Adames powers Brewers past Rays 8-2. Uribe and Siri at center of wild brawl. Willy Adames hit a three-run homer and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-2 in a game that included a nasty fight between the teams. The fracas ensued after Jose Siri and Brewers reliever Abner Uribe exchanged heated words near first base in the eighth inning. Uribe threw a punch at Siri, who then took a wild swing at the pitcher as both dugouts and bullpens emptied. The animosity between Siri and the Brewers had been building all night. Siri took a long look at his home run in the third off Freddy Peralta, who drilled Siri with a 3-0 fastball in the sixth. That led to Peralta and Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy getting ejected.
