4/02/24 Braves, with electric offense, visit scoring-challenged White Sox. Atlanta Braves reliever Aaron Bummer elected not to "drop names" when asked which former Chicago White Sox teammates he might want to face this week. "That's karma waiting to happen," Bummer said. Given Chicago's offensive struggles to start the season, a less diplomatic respondent might have taken more time to answer the question. The White Sox already have been shut out twice in their four games entering Tuesday night's visit from the Braves after Atlanta romped 9-0 in Monday's series opener.

4/01/24 Old home of the Braves: Bummer, Lopez return to face White Sox. As good as left-hander Aaron Bummer potentially can be – the Braves gave the White Sox five players believing they can untap his ceiling – the Sox have to feel satisfied, four games into the season, with their return on general manager Chris Getz' first trade. Michael Soroka was the Sox' day 2 starter, Nicky Lopez is their starting second baseman and Braden Shewmake made an encouraging showing in the season opening series against the Tigers.

3/17/24 Did the Braves Make a Mistake by Trading This Fan Favorite?. Did the Braves Make a Mistake by Trading This Fan Favorite? The Atlanta Braves made a massive trade this offseason and some fans are lamenting one of the departures. Author: Lindsay Crosby Mar 17, 2024 10:47 AM EDT The Atlanta Braves made a lot of trades this winter, and that's typically an area in which president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos doesn't get things wrong. But some fans are asking if he made a mistake this winter. The team traded a five-player package to the Chicago White Sox to get reliever Aaron Bummer last November, and one of the players that left was righty Michael Soroka ...who's been pretty impressive in spring training so far. 1/25/24 There's No Rush For White Sox To Cash In On Dylan Cease's High Value. Baseball's hot stove had just been lit back in mid-November, when the White Sox sent lefty reliever Aaron Bummer to Atlanta in a too-good-to-be-true deal for rookie general manager Chris Getz. The five-for-one trade that restocked the White Sox rotation (Michael Soroka, Jared Shuster) and middle infield (Nicky Lopez, Braden Shewmake) was widely seen as the start of a major roster reconstruct on the South Side.
