4/29/23 Royals 3, Twins 2: Control Freaks. Brad Keller's inability to find the strike zone, and the Twins' inability to hold a lead. Keller — a sixth-year Royal — has a reputation for command issues, which have ballooned to a 6.8 BB/9 in 25 innings entering play today. This afternoon wasn't much better; Keller gave up six hits and just one run, but probably would have fared better if he hadn't walked five and thrown a pair of wild pitches. One of the wild pitches, coming in the fourth inning, brought home the game's first run.

MJ Meléndez drove in three runs to back another strong outing from Brad Keller, and the Kansas City Royals avoided a three-game sweep with a 10-1 rout of the Texas Rangers. The Rangers had their second three-game winning streak of the season stopped on the day they learned star shortstop Corey Seager would miss at least four weeks with a hamstring strain. Vinnie Pasquantino homered, and Bobby Witt Jr. had an RBI triple among three hits against his hometown team. The Royals ended a three-game losing streak with season highs in runs and hits.

4/07/23 What to look for in Brad Keller's second start. After one start, the results on Keller are mixed. On the other hand, he walked four batters to put up a BB/9 rate more than double what he had last season, and he hit a guy with a pitch too. Three of those walks were in the fifth inning, and it looked like Keller was out of gas. Keller did look like a different pitcher than last year, so this is what looked different, and what to watch for in his second start.

10/11/22 Top Three Kansas City Royals Non-Tender Candidates for 2022 Offseason. O'Hearn is too good for Triple-A pitching but not good enough to have consistent success against big leaguers and because of that, he makes a ton of sense as a non-tender candidate this offseason. Time will tell if the Royals follow through with that soon. Brad Keller Estimated salary in 2023: $7M If Brad Keller came with a significantly lower estimated price tag next season, he'd be a solid option to keep around.

9/24/22 KC Royals' Brad Keller comes through in the ninth for his first save in the majors. I felt like I started getting butterflies pretty quick. It was really cool though, no doubt. Keller retired the side in order in the ninth, including a pair of strikeouts, and put the finishing touches on a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Twins at Kauffman Stadium.
