| 8/09/25 | This pitcher spent over 3 years in rehab before his opportunity with Tigers. Codi Heuer lost out on a lot of baseball in the last few years. The right-handed pitcher — who joined the league in the sixth round of the 2018 MLB Draft — had the momentum of his career built up by 2022 dashed when he required Tommy John surgery. Just as Heuer neared a return with the Chicago Cubs, his rehab took an abrupt halt when he fractured an inside piece of his elbow and needed to get five screws put in.
