Mushinski, 28, appeared in 14 games for the Astros in 2023, pitching to a 5.52 ERA in 14.2 innings. Mushinski got his first taste of Major League Baseball experience in 2022, appearing in 7 games with a 3.68 ERA in 7.1 innings. The Houston Astros sent Parker Mushinski on a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Sugar Land, scheduling him to follow starter Hunter Brown. Mushinski, who was placed on the 15-day injured list June 7, didn't record an out over the 20 pitches he threw. The Houston Astros last had a left-handed reliever in the bullpen on June 6, the day before the club placed Parker Mushinski on the 15-day injured list with left-elbow discomfort. The lefty is now set for a rehab assignment starting Wednesday with Triple-A Sugar Land, per Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet.
