Facing an Astros lineup that had most of its starters atop it, Cardinals lefty Drew Rom knew what challenge facing a group of former All-Stars could present even in a spring training setting. “When I was walking out from the bullpen... going into the dugout, I looked up (and) that's about when I saw it,” Rom said referring to the moment he saw Sunday's Astros lineup that began with Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker. Making his first spring start for St. Louis, Rom retired Altuve on a hard-hit lineout to left that was hauled in just shy of the outfield wall and saw a deep fly ball from Bregman get hauled in at the warning track in left field.
