6/06/25 WATCH: Guardians' David Fry Hits First Home Run of MLB Season. David Fry played a key role in the Cleveland Guardians' success last season and came up with plenty of clutch hits for the team during their 2024 postseason run. On Friday night, the 2024 All-Star reminded all of Cleveland just how valuable a player he is as Fry hit his first home run of the 2025 season. Fry's solo blast came off the bat at 99.4 mph, traveled an estimated 93.7 feet, and cut the Houston Astros' lead to 4-2 at the time. The fan-favorite rounded the bases at Progressive Field with a roaring ovation from the crowd.

6/02/25 David Fry Can Fill Massive Void In The Cleveland Guardians' Lineup. David Fry has made his triumphant return to the Cleveland Guardians lineup following off-season elbow surgery, which will limit him to just a designated hitter during the 2025 season. The Guardians discovered just how valuable a player Fry was to their success during his 2024 All-Star season and his heroics during the postseason. The slugger can provide just as big of an impact for the team during the 2025 season, too. Cleveland's two-hole hitters have been slashing .165/.221/.270 with an OPS of .491 as a group this season.

5/31/25 Guardians activate All-Star outfielder before Angels clash. The Cleveland Guardians reportedly activated outfielder David Fry from the injured list on Saturday, per Zack Meisel of The Athletic. “The Guardians have activated David Fry,” Meisel wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Fry, a 29-year-old, was previously on the 60-day IL due to an elbow injury. Fry underwent Tommy John surgery due to the injury. There were initial rumors that he could miss most of 2025, but the fact that he is already set to return is promising without question. Fry made his MLB debut in 2023 with Cleveland. 2024 was his breakout campaign, however, as he earned an All-Star selection. The outfielder played a pivotal role in helping the Guardians clinch the American League Central division

5/20/25 Guardians All-Star Slugger Reflects On Rehab Process. One of the last times David Fry wore a Cleveland Guardians jersey, he was hitting a walk-off home run in the 2024 ALCS. The Guardians could really use Fry's bat in their lineup, but the good news is that he just started a rehab assignment with the Akron RubberDucks (Double-A) and is making solid progress. After going 1-for-3 with a line drive base hit in his first appearance with Akron on Tuesday, Fry reflected on the rehab process and what he's doing to prepare to rejoin the major league roster.
