6/27/25 Cody Bradford's season-ending surgery includes silver lining for Texas Rangers pitcher. Can a pitcher undergo elbow surgery and it be a positive development? If so, it may be the first turn of good luck Cody Bradford has had this season. President of Baseball Operations Chris Young on Friday revealed that Bradford did not have full-scale elbow reconstruction surgery earlier in the week; instead Dr. Keith Meister performed the relatively lesser procedure known as an internal brace. Be the smartest Rangers fan.

6/24/25 Rangers LHP Cody Bradford (elbow) to undergo surgery, miss season. June 24 - Texas Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford will undergo elbow surgery that will keep him out for the remainder of the season, team president of baseball operations Chris Young told reporters Tuesday. Bradford, 27, started the season on the injured list with elbow soreness and did not progress in rehab attempts. While it remains unknown if he will undergo Tommy John surgery, his absence is expected to extend into the 2026 season. Bradford pitched in each of the two previous seasons for the Rangers, going 10-6 with a 4.28 ERA in 34 appearances (21 starts) for Texas in 2023 and 2024. The sixth-round draft pick in 2019 has 121 strikeouts to 25 walks in 132 1/3 innings. --Field Level Media

6/14/25 Rangers RP Josh Sborz on schedule for injury return after pitching simulated inning. It was busy on the mound Saturday even before Jacob deGrom started the game for the Rangers. Cody Bradford threw to hitters for the second time in a week and Josh Sborz faced hitters for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery last fall. Sborz threw a one-inning simulated game outing against Alejandro Osuna and Ezequiel Duran, with his fastball sitting at 90-91 mph. It was up about three ticks from his best bullpen session to date.
