6/26/23 Reds add Jake Wong, Eduardo Salazar to pitching ranks, designate Randy Wynne for assignment. Randy Wynne made his big league debut at age 30 over the weekend for the Cincinnati Reds as they played host to the Atlanta Braves in one of the more exciting series in recent Great American Ball Park history. Now that I type that out, it was one of the more exciting series in all of Great American Ball Park history, but that's another story for another time. Wynne's promotion was as much a sign of the times as it was for his performance with AAA Louisville. The ramifications were felt immediately on Monday, as the Reds were forced (again) to churn through their pitching ranks.

6/25/23 Former Otter Randy Wynne makes MLB Debut with Cincinnati Reds. CINCINNATI, OH. (WFIE) - On Sunday, the Cincinnati Reds called up former Evansville Otters pitcher Randy Wynne to the major leagues. Wynne signed with the Reds organization out of Evansville in June of 2019. ”We couldn't be happier for Randy,” Otters field manager Andy McCauley said. “He is a great pitcher and always gave us his best. We wish him the best of luck.” The former Otter joins Brandyn Sittinger, Brad Ziegler, Justin James, R.J. Swindle, and Travis Schlichting on a list of players that Andy McCauley managed and later made it to the big leagues.
