5/23/25 | Tigers Top Prospect Mashes Grand Slam, Continues Dazzling Minor League Season. The Detroit Tigers have the best farm system in Major League Baseball, and with some graduations there is now a new face of the future for the organization. 2023 No. 3 overall selection in the MLB draft Max Clark is quickly becoming a household name across the sport despite being just 20 years old and not playing a game above the High-A level. Clark spent last season for the most part with Low-A Lakeland and by year's end was promoted to High-A West Michigan where he put up solid but pedestrian numbers over 34 games to close his first year as a professional. In 2025, he started his season at West Michigan and looks like he has already taken the next step in his development, absolutely tearing the cover off the ball as of late. 5/23/25 | Detroit Tigers' Top Prospect HIs Mammoth Grand Slam on Thursday Night, Continues to Impress. Max Clark, the No. 7 overall prospect in baseball, continues to excel for the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps, hitting a big-time grand slam on Thursday night. The 20-year-old was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 draft out of the Indiana high school ranks. With numbers like these, he is cruising for a Double-A promotion by the end of the season. Just entering his 20s, Clark has already added strength from his amateur days, and if he adds a little more loft as part of that trajectory, there's the potential for at least average power. 5/11/25 | How long before Tigers prize Max Clark sets sail for Erie?. Predicting when Max Clark gets his orders for Double A Erie and his next stage of Tigers lineup preparation is natural even six weeks into Single A West Michigan's spring. A best guess on when Clark heads for Erie is sometime in July as the midseason breaks arrive for MLB and minor-league teams. Clark got his West Michigan promotion last July and figures to climb another rung 12 months later thanks to numbers he brought into Sunday's game against Lansing at LMCU Ballpark. Clark, who it should be remembered does not turn 21 until December, was batting .317 for the Whitecaps. Source: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/mlb/tiger... |
