| 2/12/24 | Ex-Yankees reliever looking to revive career with Red Sox this spring. Lucas Luetge resurrected his big-league career with the Yankees in 2021. Luetge has agreed to a contract with Boston, the ex-Yankees reliever revealed over the weekend with a post on his social media channels. The terms of the agreement with the Red Sox were not specified, but based on the way Luetge's 2023 season went with the Braves, we can assume that the contract is a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training. | 2/11/24 | Red Sox sign lefty who had 2.71 ERA in 107 outings for Yankees in 2021-22. The Red Sox have signed 36-year-old left-handed reliever Lucas Luetge to a minor league deal. Luetge announced the signing himself on Twitter and Instagram. He did not provide the terms of the contract but it is a minor league deal, according to an industry source. He was limited to just 12 appearances (13 ? innings) for the Braves in 2023 because of left bicep inflammation and poor performance (7.24 ERA). Luetge has had recent success though. He posted a 2.71 ERA, 2.92 FIP and 1.25 WHIP in 107 outings (129 ? innings) for the Yankees in 2021-22 combined. He averaged 9.6 strikeouts and 2.2 walks per nine innings.
